Students

 

Students: Jostens will be back at school taking class ring orders on- Wednesday, September 17th during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Please have your order form filled out like the sample shown prior to the order day. You can design your ring online at www.jostens.com see your packet for promotions. Extra order forms and ring packets are available in the Counseling Office.

 

A $50 deposit is required with each order. You may use cash, check, or credit card at order time for the total amount of the ring or for the $50 deposit.

See you on the 17th!

 

Athletic Tutoring Reminder:

Students needing Athletic Tutoring to be eligible for a Fall sport, MUST see Mrs. Paulsgrove to sign a contract. Both the student and parent must sign the contract to be eligible!

 

The Athletic Office has 20 complimentary tickets for “Away” S/V football games. Friday 9/12: Guilford vs. Belvidere @ Belvidere.

 

This week the girls tennis team defeated their first conference opponent Belvidere North 3-2. Great job ladies! Come see them defend last seasons 2nd place conference finish at home against Auburn on Tuesday and Hononegah on Thursday next week.

 

Hey you! Yah you! Don’t worry if you missed the 1st Writers Club meeting, we meet every Monday and Wednesday. Bring your stories, poems and ideas to room 237 after school Monday.

 

Juniors & Seniors- Guilford is kicking off a semester of college visits! Starting Friday, September 12th with the University of Missouri, we will be hosting over 40 different colleges and vocational schools. Look in your junior or senior English class for a listing of when colleges will be here. This list is updated on a regular basis. You must sign up at least 24 hours in advance in the Counseling Office and you are only allowed to sign yourself up, not friends.

 

This is a wonderful way to get acquainted with various colleges and get your questions answered by an admission counselor. So take advantage of these visits and plan to attend. Seating is limited so sign up early.

 

Just a reminder, October 8th is college night at Rock Valley College.

 

Senior boys powderpuff practice is Sunday, September 14th at Sam Furman’s house at one o’clock. Guy/girl practice at 3.

 

Boys and girls who are interested in Cross Country- We need you! We meet at 3:45 after school outside the gym! Come dressed and ready to run! We have a blast! Hope to see you there!
