What is College Algebra?At Guilford High School
College Algebra is the upper level of our 2nd year
algebra course. It covers all the topics of
algebra 2 and is considered to be the prerequisite of a
student going on to precalculus and later calculus.
Chapters include: Prerequisites (Review and
more!), Equations and Inequalities, Coordinates and
Graphs, Functions, Polynomial and Rational Functions,
Exponential and Logarithmic Functions, Systems of
Equations and Inequalities, Matrices and Determinants,
Sequences and Series, Counting and Probability, and
Conic Sections.
