is the student newspaper for Guilford High School.
Guilford has purchased for
use by all departments the use of the
website at
Turnitin.com. This program enables
staff to check student documents for
plagiarism. It has the ability to
"instantly identify papers containing
unoriginal material." All students
should be advised that your documents will
be checked.

Nancy Kiefer, our librarian, will
provide you with the necessary login code
and passwords if you did not get them
emailed to you.

about 2,000 students and 170 teaching and support
staff working at Guilford to create one of the
area's finest high schools. Guilford High School is
one of four public high schools in District 205
located in Rockford, Illinois. District 205
has a total enrollment in
excess of 29,000 students attending more than 50
schools and covers about 170 square miles. The
district has more than 21,000 students on 280 school
buses traveling 4.2 million miles a year on more
than 1000 bus routes per day.

Congratulations to
Guilford’s Varsity Scholastic Bowl Team!
They went 6-2 in the 26 team kickoff
tournament in Sterling. They won 5th
place in the championship rounds, defeating
Boylan, Sterling, Stillman Valley,
Princeton, Kaneland and Morrison. Aaron
Craig was selected All-Tournament. He was
joined by Captain Dan Reitsch, Michael
Rouse, Lauren Combs, Jeremy Coleman, Sahand
Nuhivand and Brandon Arnold.
